Website Style & Product Range: Our online store reflects a rustic, artisanal, and authentic aesthetic, mirroring the handmade quality of our products. We specialise in:

• Artisanal Meats: Preservative-free Biltong, Droëwors, Boerewors, and Butchery items, made using traditional methods.
• African Pantry Staples: From Chakalaka and Chutneys to Cereals and Rusks.

2. User Obligations and Responsibilities

By using our website, you agree to:

3. Product & Service Description

We strive to represent our products as accurately as possible through photographs and descriptions. However, please note:

• Colours and packaging may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of our goods and your screen settings.
• All weights and sizes are approximate.
• Perishable Goods: Our biltong, droëwors, boerewors, and butchery items are preservative-free. They are vacuum-sealed for freshness but remain perishable. It is your responsibility to store them appropriately upon receipt.
• Some products may contain allergens (e.g., nuts, gluten, dairy). Ingredients are listed on product pages and packaging.

4. Orders & Payment Terms

Placing an Order:

Adding items to your cart does not reserve them. An order is only confirmed once we send you an order confirmation email.

Order Processing:

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and UK public holidays). You will receive a tracking link via email once your order is dispatched.

Pricing & Payment:

• Prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include UK VAT where applicable. International customers may be subject to local customs duties and taxes, which are the customer’s responsibility.
• We accept: Visa, MasterCard, JCB, and PayPal.
• Payment is taken in full at the time of order.

Shipping:

• Standard Shipping: £12.95 via DHL or FedEx. Estimated delivery: 10-15 business days after dispatch.
• Free Shipping: Available for orders over £50, shipped via EMS. Estimated delivery: 15-25 business days after dispatch.
• We ship globally but exclude certain remote regions and parts of Asia. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by customs, weather, or seasonal delays.

5. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

General Returns:

• Window: 15 days from the date you receive your order.
• Condition: Items must be unopened, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
• Process: You must contact us first at [email protected] to obtain a Returns Authorisation Number.
• Cost: Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, unless the return is due to our error.
• Refunds: Issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days after we receive and inspect the return.

Damaged or Incorrect Items:

If your order arrives damaged or if we sent the wrong item, please contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund and cover return shipping costs.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from an order shall be limited to the purchase price of the product(s) in that order.

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, embargoes, strikes, logistical disruptions, or customs delays.

Food Consumption: It is the customer’s responsibility to check product ingredients for allergens and to consume products before their best-before date. We are not liable for any adverse reactions or issues arising from improper storage or consumption after the recommended date.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
